NEMCC LADY TIGER BASKETBALL PROGRAM INKS ANOTHER STANDOUT
 
Booneville, Miss., --NEMCC's head women's basketball coach Brian Alexander has done it again.
 
Alexander has added another standout to his 2013-14 roster and this time it is an out of state players from Red Bay, Ala. 
 
Lexy Lindsey of Red Bay High School inked with Alexander in a signing ceremony held at Northeast at the Booneville campus in the media room earlier this week. 
 
"We are excited to add Lexy to our program at Northeast.  She is a first class person who comes from a great set of parents.  Coach Roberts at Red Bay High School is one of the best and we are always excited when we can get a player from his program," Alexander said.
 
Lindsey averaged 13 points per game to go along with six boards, four steals, and five assists per game during her senior campaign.  Lindsey was a 71-percent free throw shooter and hit 41-percent from behind the arc. 
 
Lindsey racked up on awards throughout her high school career including, Most Improved player as a sophomore, Best Defensive Player as a junior and Most Valuable Player and Team Captain during her final season at Red Bay.  Lindsey was selected to the Franklin County All-Area team both her junior and senior year. 
 
"I am excited to get the opportunity to play at the next level.  I'm also excited about being a Lady Tiger, meeting my new teammates, and playing for Coach Alexander," Lindsey said.
