Northeast Mississippi Community College Tiger and Lady Tiger tennis teams will be on the road for the first part of their 2013 season after a schedule change moved Northeast's true home opener to March 22 against Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

Northeast has had to move its home debut twice this season as the Tigers and Lady Tigers flipped their season-opening match to Fulton against Itawamba only to have that match postponed due to inclement weather. 

Northeast was set to open its home courts on March 4 against Hinds Community College but those matches have been bumped to the New Albany SportsPlex.

Northeast opened its season with a trek through south Mississippi.

Ben Shappley's Tigers and Lady Tigers took on Jones County Junior College in Ellisville on February 27 before heading even further south and battling Mississippi Gulf Coast in Perkinston on February 28.

Northeast is set to wrap up its south Mississippi adventure on Friday, March 1 as the Tigers and Lady Tigers take on East Central Community College in Decatur at 2 p.m.

After playing Hinds at the New Albany neutral site, Northeast hits the road against to battle Meridian before returning home after the Spring Break holidays for its season opener against Copiah-Lincoln at 2:30 p.m. on March 22.
