Booneville, MS – After a dominant performance at the plate over the previous week, freshman catcher Colin Flurry was named Player of the Week for the first time in his career by the MACCC after leading the Tigers to a 3-1 series win over East Central (MO).
Through four games of action this past week Flurry put up an onslaught of offensive numbers to lead Northeast to three straight wins against the Flacons. He recorded a batting average of .636 while connecting on three doubles, one triple, three homers, and driving in 12 runs throughout the four-game series. In game one Flurry stepped up and hammered out a pair of dingers while going a perfect three for three at the plate and recording eight RBI in the process.
This is the first Player of the Week honor of Flurry's young collegiate career with this week being the first time the accolade has been awarded in the MACCC for the 2026 season.
Northeast Baseball will suit up Thursday to take on Parkland College in game one of a three game series. First pitch is scheduled for 5PM with Friday's doubleheader beginning at 2PM.
