Booneville, MS – Following a four-game win streak to open the week with three resulting in run rule decisions, sophomore righthander Hank Eaton has been named the MACCC Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Eaton was a consistent threat at the plate throughout the week with a batting average of .429 with an on-base percentage of .579. He recorded four extra base hits, including two home runs with seven runs scored and nine RBIs while also earning a win on the mound against Coahoma where he struck out three batters. Eaton recorded wrapped up the week with his best performance of the week with 4 RBIs against Pellissippi State led by a double to left field for the first RBI with the other three coming off a three-run homer to left center.
On the season, Eaton is averaging .415 at the plate with an on-base percentage of .563 with 22 runs scored, nine doubles, four home runs, and 28 RBI while also stealing three bases so far this year. A dual threat for the Tigers, Eaton has earned two wins on the mound in his five starts where in 17.0 innings pitched, he has struck out 13 batters.
Eaton is now the second Northeast player to earn MACCC Player of the Week honors in the 2026 campaign with freshman catcher Collin Flurry earning the first honor of the season.
Northeast will be back at home this Thursday with a doubleheader against Coahoma to kick off their conference schedule with game one scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.
