TRIO OF TIGERS RECEIVE ALL-MACCC HONORS

Booneville, MS – After leading Northeast to the Region 23 Tournament a few weeks ago, three Tigers were announced by the conference as a part of the All-MACCC teams on May 21st with Conner McKnatt named to the second team with Otto Hyche and Hank Eaton earning honorable mention honors. 

McKnatt represented Northeast on the All-MACCC second team after batting .329 on the season with an on base percentage of .507. The sophomore outfielder scored 51 runs on the year while connecting on 51 hits with 12 doubles, 1 triple, and 10 home runs that helped him record 46 RBI. On the mound he pitched in 11 games with 3 wins and a save on his record where in 26.1 innings he struck out 30 batters. McKnatt recorded three games of three hits with two appearances going a perfect 3-for-3 against Holmes and Jones. He also had two games including hammering out two homers against Wallace State where his two bombs helped him record 7 RBI. 

Hyche earned All-MACCC honorable mention honors after recording 5 wins in 16 appearances on the mound in the 2026 season for Northeast. In 44.1 innings he recorded 46 total strikeouts with 32 of them coming in conference play. He struck out five or more batters in five games including each of his last four appearances with a career high of 8 against Itawamba followed later by 7 strikeouts against Meridian to clinch the Tigers a spot in the Region 23 Tournament with a 4-3 win. His lone complete game on the season led Northeast to a win over East Mississippi in five innings where Hyche struck out five batters and allowed only one run in a 12-1 run rule win. 

Eaton also earned All-MACCC honorable mention honors after hitting .364 on the season with an on base percentage of .488. Through 54 games he recorded 60 hits, 51 runs, 17 doubles, 2 triples, 9 home runs, and 60 RBI while stealing 7 bases. He had twenty games of multiple hits with four games of three hits including a 3-for-4 appearance against Holmes where Eaton scored four runs while connecting on a pair of doubles to drive in another two scores. On the mound Eaton appeared in and started 11 games where he recorded 3 starts and struck out 24 batters in 39.1 innings with a season high of 5 strikeouts against East Central in a 9-5 win. 

Northeast finished 26-28 overall on the 2026 season with a MACCC record of 13-15, finishing in the Region 23 Tournament play-in game.
