Jackson, Tenn. – Four first-inning runs helped Northeast Mississippi Community College to a 7-2 win at Jackson State Community College on Tuesday as part of a fall softball doubleheader that was added to the schedule late Monday night.

Bianca Chagolla got a hit in each of her three at bats. She doubled in the first inning to drive in two runs and added two singles later in the game.

Trenisha King and Haleigh Moffett also had run scoring hits in the opening frame to give Northeast its early advantage.

Northeast added solo runs in the third on a RBI single by Robinson that scored Moffett and in the fourth on a throwing error.

In the nightcap, Blue Mountain College scored four runs in the opening three innings of the game off Chelsea Buntin and held on to beat the Tigers 4-0.

Chagolla threw three frames of scoreless relief in the circle and Haley Christian added two singles to lead Northeast.

The game also saw former Tigers Haley Knepp and Nikki Whitten put on a Blue Mountain uniform for the first time after transferring from the University of North Alabama.
