TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Andie Kate Ramey put a brilliant exclamation point on a wonderful inaugural season for the Northeast Mississippi Community College women's golf program.
Ramey secured first-team All-American accolades after finishing in fourth place individually at the 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II national championship.
The hometown hero from Booneville finished with a four-day total of 25-over-par 313. She set the stage for her success with identical five-over scores during the first two rounds of the tournament.
"She took a chance on us to be our first commit for our first year so I'm proud and excited for her," said Lady Tigers head coach Leigh Treloar. "I know that this is just the beginning. We've got big things coming for us next year."
Each of Ramey's regular season events lasted only two rounds, but the NJCAA championship puts golfers to the test with four straight days. Her scores went up the final two rounds, but only slightly.
"It's been very tiring walking seven-ish miles each day so I'm definitely excited to go home and get some rest," Ramey said with a smile. "I was definitely taking some ibuprofen on day three and four.
I've played some tournaments before that were multiple days so I did have that going for me. It wasn't that big of a difference for me personally, but for other people it's definitely a big difference."
Ramey finished only nine shots behind co-leaders Mallory Brooks of Wallace State (Ala.) Community College at Hanceville and Katie Hallmark from Shelton State (Ala.) Community College.
She was one stroke better than fifth place Amiya Raja of Murray State (Okla.) College. Ramey was among a packed field of competitors from 10 different states across the country.
Ramey had an easier go of things on the front-nine at the Ol' Colony Golf Complex. She recorded seven of her eight birdies on those holes while playing them a combined six-over-par for the week.
Among Ramey's highlights at nationals were back-to-back birdies on the par-four first and second holes during the final round. She was double bogey free during her first and fourth rounds.
Her best scoring hole was the par-five seventh which she played at one-under-par with a birdie during round three. She shot even on the par-five third and the par-three eighth as well.
Ramey also obtained all-tournament honors with her top five showing. She entered the NJCAA championship with a number five national ranking from Clippd.
